Hey there!

My name is Jaimi, and I am a mom who loves to encourage moms in the season of raising children, making a home, and staying focused on the end goals of motherhood. I am the mom of four, including a set of twins. I am also a military wife, writer and “professional” playdate planner. We have to meet mom friends somehow, right?!

I studied early childhood education and teaching in college, so I was able to study a lot about child psychology, family dynamics and what research shows about those two factors in the life of children. I decided to channel that background and the feeling like I could really help moms who were just trying to survive at home caring for their families.

The stay at home mom survival guide is my little ministry. It is a resource for mothers, parents, caregivers and teachers.

Stress of Mom Life and A Quick Tip to Relax

Lately, the strain of full days, stay at home mom life, and driving the kids to their after-school activities has left me feeling more drained in the evenings. You have to be on all day long as a mom. We talk a lot about how to rest. What do we do to fit in rest? How...

Homemade Summer Fun with Kids

Homemade Summer Fun with Kids

My children are ‘outdoor kids’, large motor machines. They need to get outside in order to keep their spirits in balance-I need that too. Thankfully summer fun with kids provides a multitude of outdoor time for fun-and learning. Having children in multiple age groups allows me the...

DIY Magnetic Felt Board for the Fridge

This post contains affiliate links. Please view my disclosure. Dinner time in our house is a bit hectic. I often have the twins pulling at my legs while trying to navigate my way through main dish, sides and filling up milk cups. It can get tricky (and a bit overwhelming) when everyone is so...

Picky Eaters Can Learn to Eat

My kids are picky eaters. It has been exhausting many nights at the dinner table trying to convince them that the colorful healthy foods are good for them. My oldest has been picky from the baby food stage, my second started around 2 years old, and the twins do not...

Clean the Bathroom in 5 Minutes!

Clean the Bathroom in 5 Minutes!

I DREAD cleaning the bathroom.  I love when it is clean, but for some reason the 'doing' requires motivation.  With potty training children in the house almost nonstop for the past few years, I definitely have my reason for keeping the bathroom as clean as possible-little hands, dirty...

Are There Best Practices in Parenting?

Are There Best Practices in Parenting?

Lately in discussions of parenting, the lesson being taught is whatever feels ‘right’ to you is the correct choice. I don’t think the terms ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ are worth the focus. They are subjective, especially these days. We need to look at what are best practices in parenting. As...

Find Balance in Motherhood and Relationships

Find Balance in Motherhood and Relationships

I received a copy of the book Mom Connection, and one to giveaway to a reader, in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are my own. Balance in motherhood is my goal every day. Motherhood can feel like “twirling 100 hula hoops” and moving in “endless circles”. I think we can all relate to that...
