It has been one of my goals since starting the blog 4 years ago to create a community of moms that can come together to encourage and connect. There is a great support network in place with the blog and our Facebook group. I am happy to announce that The Stay-at-Home-Mom Survival Guide has monthly contributing bloggers to expand this community even further and deepen it!
The bloggers who will be sharing along with me here on the blog will be writing motivational posts for stay at home moms (and moms in general) that will appear on Mondays in a new series Mom Motivation Mondays. Let me tell you about it!
Mom Motivation Mondays Series
Every Monday, I will be sharing an article to help us all get motivated about being a mom. Each of the contributors and I will be sharing posts that will be part of this series. You will be getting a great encouraging start your week of being mom, every week! The 4 of us will take turns each week offering our encouraging words for you to take into your week as a busy mom.
I will be publishing the Mom Motivation Mondays post every Sunday evening so that I can send it out to those of you who are subscribed to my newsletter. You will get the first chance to read the newest Mom Motivation Monday post.
Mom Motivation Mondays Contributors
Let me introduce you to the bloggers who will be helping me share motivation and encouragement with you every week here on The Stay-at-Home Mom Survival Guide. I am a big fan of each of their writing styles and motherhood perspectives. They are each unique so they bring new perspectives to the blog that I am excited to share.
Heather of Just Becoming Me
Heather is a real-life friend of mine from the military world. She is the mom of two beautiful girls and currently lives in Florida with her girls, her two pups, and her husband who happens to be a Marine like mine. She is a powerhouse! Her passions include learning all she can to live the best life she can, living a healthy lifestyle, and finding joy in her days. She is an amazing example of staying motivated to achieve your goals as an individual along with balancing that as a stay-at-home mom…and she works part time outside of the home.
Many of us can relate to Heather’s thoughts and perspective on motherhood because there is so much challenge when it comes to balancing our goals for our family and our personal goals. Both can merge, and I think Heather’s blog lends some great perspective to this.
She was a guest blogger here on The Stay-at-Home-Mom Survival Guide and shared her thoughts as a mom who is trying to balance being a stay-at-home mom with working part time outside of the home. At the end of 2014, she was feeling unhappy, burnt out and discouraged. She started her blog Just Becoming Me as a venture to better understand herself and what will lead her towards a more fulfilling life.

Melissa of Wading Through Motherhood
Melissa lives not far from me-we are both SoCal residents-so I hope that I can meet her in real life one day. Her blog is a gem! Melissa is a teacher-turned-stay-at-home mom. She has two kids, two dogs and two cats. (Two must be her lucky number!) She was a contributor to The Complete Guide for Stay-at-Home Moms that a group of SAHM bloggers helped me put together earlier in the Spring.
If you have read her posts on her blog Wading Through Motherhood, you know she has a skilled way of presenting the mundane or trying tasks of motherhood as opportunities to find humor and perspective. Whether it is laundry burnout, or the messes kids make-right after you have cleaned the floors-I really think her perspective as a stay-at-home mom is so relatable, because often it is the little things about being a SAHM that can drag us down and de-motivate us from being the best moms we can be.

Jenn of Busy Being Blessed
Jenn is a mom with so much encouragement in her heart, it was an easy choice to ask her to be part of this contributor team. She is a Christian who writes about her faith candidly and how it helps to focus her motherhood, parenting and blogging. I was thrilled to participate in a series she organized all about wanting to feel like a successful mom while feeling rather imperfect at times. She gathered together posts from mom bloggers who shared about how being a good mom does not mean perfection has to be included.
Jenn is a wife to an amazing man and a stay-at-homeschooling mom to four special & incredible boys. Busy Being Blessed, written by both Jenn and her husband Jerry, is to show families the grace of God in everyday life. She loves writing authentic posts so that others can know that perfection isn’t reality!
Jenn writes about Christian living, parenting special needs children, gluten free living, homeschooling, and more! Her perspective is an important one for me to include due to her experiences as a Christian homeschool mom. She has a lot of wisdom to share.
