We talk a lot about finding balance as moms. There are so many items on our to do lists each day, and we can feel like we did not accomplish much when items are not crossed off.
Of course we are caring for children, a home and our families, but it would be nice to have an easy way to track the work we do each day to feel more productive. I have found a tool to help!
I found an app that is making me feel so much more accomplished because it tracks what time I spend on work around the house each day. It is free to download and easy to use-so easy! It will have you feeling accomplished.
Available for iPhone and iPad, ATracker-Daily Task and Time Tracking literally counts the time you spend on the tasks you do every day.
All it takes is one tap to start or stop tracking any task.
You can easily customize the categories you want to track. I set mine up to count how much time I was spending on reading/playing with my kids, fitting in exercise, taking care of homemaking tasks like cooking, cleaning and laundry, and blogging.
Although these are not images of my tasks, they show you what the home screen looks like.
There are daily calendar views to track when you are working on each task throughout the day.
The pie chart is really interesting because it shows where you are spending the majority of your time and if you are in balance.
I could see from what time to what time I was playing with the kids, or I could view how much time I spent cooking and cleaning versus blogging. This is a great way to be sure you are keeping priorities in order too.
Want to really track that social media time? With ATracker by WonderApps you can!
Want to see how much time you really do spend reading to your kids in a day? Track it!
One tap starts and stops the count. You will not have to spend a lot of time starting or stopping the app-it is quick and easy to track your tasks.
The Pro version allows you to add in more categories so you can keep track of a lot more details.
It is a great way to find balance as a mom.

That’s really interesting and since many of us have our phones close to hand a large majority of the day it’s a great idea!
It really is a great way to track it all and see how productive we really are.
I’d love it for Android too. Looks like a wonderful app but I don’t have iPhone.
Maybe check if it is available now. This post was written a couple of years ago so maybe they have added Android. Worth a check!
What a neat idea! I bet this will help a lot of moms figure out where their time is going each day.
I think it can be really helpful. Just using myself, I was in a mindset about making sure I was working on things that were more "productive" rather than sliding into checking social media or getting distracted on something that I didn't really NEED to accomplish. On some days, it is good to get those numbers and see where we really are spending our time.
What a great app! This sounds like an amazing productivity tool.
It was really interesting to try out, MaryAnne. I think it could definitely help some moms feel more accomplished.
