ABC Seek and Find Letter Learning Activity

ABC Letter Learning activity for preschool kids preparing for kindergarten.

Getting your preschooler ready for kindergarten is on the minds of many parents. It certainly was a focus for me. We did not stress too much about structure during our homeschool preschool time. Even if you are not homeschooling, this ABC Seek and Find Letter Learning activity for preschool kids is simple to do at home.

Preschool at home was fun. Just think of all the money you save! For this ABC Seek and Find activity, you need to gather a few supplies. My twins really enjoyed having school work that was just for them.

Supplies:

ABC chart (DIY, printable or this cute one)

How we made it:

I started off by writing a lot of random letters on our large piece of scrap paper. We used a piece of packing paper from our latest move, so it was nice and big, but a regular sized piece of paper will work great too.

I tried to write each of the letters of the alphabet at least twice in a random pattern all over the paper.

I previously had made an alphabet letter poster. It used to hang in the room of my oldest when he was a little guy. If you have letter stencils, or a Cricut, or even ABC stickers, you can make a poster of the letters to use.

If you do not have an alphabet poster in your home, this one on Amazon is cute, or just print this one and it will work great!

This ABC Seek and Find Letter Learning activity for preschool is so easy to do! We sung through the alphabet together first. I pointed to each letter as we sang it.

That helped refresh the twins’ memory of what each letter is called.

Then I pointed to a letter and asked them to find it on the large piece of paper. They then could use a marker to color over the letter.
