Anna, your comment is such a blessing to me! I too need to read this over and over to keep my thoughts and actions in line, and I fail so often. I know what you mean. I am excited for you! You will be great with your daughter. Who knows, she may be like mine and want nothing in her hair at all! 🙂 I am glad that this little list may be helpful. It has certainly been a good focus for me with raising my own daughter, and son. Thank you for this. My husband and I are expecting our first in July. I've always wanted to be a stay at home mommy, and I was very very excited…until we found out baby is a girl. I'm excited to have a daughter, but I'm also scared to death! I'm the definition of tom boy, but I want to be able to encourage my daughter to develop her more feminine side. These "what not to teach" are so much easier to wrap my head around than trying to figure out how to help a little girl pick out new hair bows!
