Hey there!

My name is Jaimi, and I am a mom who loves to encourage moms in the season of raising children, making a home, and staying focused on the end goals of motherhood. I am the mom of four, including a set of twins. I am also a military wife, writer and “professional” playdate planner. We have to meet mom friends somehow, right?!

I studied early childhood education and teaching in college, so I was able to study a lot about child psychology, family dynamics and what research shows about those two factors in the life of children. I decided to channel that background and the feeling like I could really help moms who were just trying to survive at home caring for their families.

The stay at home mom survival guide is my little ministry. It is a resource for mothers, parents, caregivers and teachers.

When Did Being A Good Mom Become A Bad Thing?

When Did Being A Good Mom Become A Bad Thing?

Have you noticed this puzzling trend? In a time of anti-bullying legislation and overall intolerance for criticism of any kind, soft bullying of moms from other moms is taking place. I say soft bullying because it goes unnoticed by the one doing it; it is often masked in humor all at...

My husband and I have spent a significant amount of time as an 'island' isolated. When I Think I Fail As A Mom

When I Think I Fail As A Mom

It was one of those days. Days like this are when I think I fail as a mom. At first, that is how it feels. My limit was reached by 10 AM...at a school assembly...with all 4 kids...and 3 were crying. Both babies wanted to be out of the stroller or held. My 3 year old kept asking me (every...

Why I Chose to be A Stay-at-Home Mom

I chose to be a stay-home-mom based on experiences that I could not ignore. Before my husband and I were even married, we discussed how we would best care for our children if/when we had them. There is only so much preparation you can do to get ready for parenthood, but how we were going to care...
