Great advice! I often think the pressure to have it all figured out is so heavy and completely unrealistic. I was blessed to have a mom who was home during the day and worked at night so I got to see firsthand what can happen in order to balance all of that. It was so educational as a child to see how my mom and had to sacrifice. They often think they should have spanked and yelled less or made different choices at times, but ultimately I think they were awesome parents. What we view today as "failure" or "mistakes" are often nothing of the sort. I am not sure why our generation has such a hard time with the balance of reality, but that is for another blog post I suppose. 😉

Boy was I wrong. Motherhood is everything I never expected and some. "What is your best asset as a mother? Time spent with your child, the experiences you had as a child or something else that helped shape your focus as a mother?" Such a piercing question. I would have to say my best asset as a mother is knowing that its ok to real and make mistakes. Thanks for sharing!
