How to Use Essential Oils with Kids

September 23, 2020 by Jaimi Erickson 2 Comments

Ready to have the ENERGY to be the best mom you can be? Get started! Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome back! Did you already get started here?

Her anxiety was causing us major learning problems. She would just stop and refuse to work. There were other behavior indicators that led me to realize that she needed to have her confidence boosted. I started with reducing her work load. That worked for a bit, until a challenging activity. Then I further reduced how much sugar the kids ate in a day. Staying consistent with this helped a lot and I added confidence boosting essential oils for her too. How to use essential oils with kids is a key to balance in our home.

I first fell I love with essential oils back when the twins were babies. Their nights of sleep were full nights with very little sleep.

I shared my story of working to overcome exhaustion as the mom of four. I had to make a few adjustments and support my energy naturally in order to get back in balance. One adjustment was using essential oils on my kids and diffusing them daily at home.

We were supporting restful sleep by calming emotions and the body. It led to restorative sleep and major health gains for all of us.

My 6 year olds have never needed antibiotics because essential oils were the gateway to a natural lifestyle for us.

It just made sense that if plant oils could support the body that changing all areas of our lives – the foods we ate, the environment we created in our home, and the goals we focused on – would improve our health and wellness to reach balance.

We got there! Young Living just made it one step easier to know how to use essential oils with kids thanks to the Little Oilers Starter Kit.

Just in time for the Fall and Winter wellness seasons, a brand new starter kit geared towards babies and kiddos has arrived.  This kit is the easy way to know how to use essential oils with kids and babies!

Until Sept 30th, new members will get a FREE Kid Power oil included too. A “brave oil” for kiddos who need some encouragement for school, sports, or just handling day to day challenges, this kids starter kit of essential oils is an essential toolbox for moms.

How to use essential oils with kids: the easy route to natural options for moms.

Using Essential Oils with Kids: Little Oilers Starter Kit

The kit comes with a Feather the Owl diffuser, which is a diffuser, a nightlight and a sound machine!

Little Oilers starter kit: How to Use Essential Oils with kids...the easy route!

We ditched the humidifiers because you can’t use all essential oils in them and they are really hard to clean thoroughly. Mold can grow without you even realizing it. That does not happen with my Young Living diffusers.

They purify the air, humidify without causing too much moisture, and are so easy to clean. It just makes sense to make the switch.

The Little Oilers starter kit includes a set of 5ml bottles of essential oils diluted for topical application on your kids. The oils you will get are Sleepyize (for sleep), Owie (for bumps and bruises), Geneyus (for focus and calm), Sniffleease (for clear breathing), and Tummygize (for happy tummies). You will also get two roller fitments to pop on any two oils that you choose! This makes applying them to areas of need so easy.

Little Oilers Starter Kit for Kids: Using Essential Oils with kids just became even easier!

Through Septermber 30th,  you will also receive a special bonus oil called KidPower. It is bravery in a bottle for the littles (or bigs)! This NEW oil blend reminds me of Valor with a hint of an orange creamsicle.

Roll on wrists or spine, or take a big inhale when you’re going into a new situation and need some courage.

Let’s face it, sometimes life can be big and scary for children, but now they’ve got the power to face all of life’s challenges, whether big or small!

This oil was perfect for my  child who crumbles under daily pressures. She still needs a lot of quality time with me, tons of encouraging and reassuring words, and patience, but oils help her so much! It is part of our natural approach to wellness and balance.

Sometimes kids just need help discovering that power inside themselves. KidPower™ is a unique, everyday blend formulated to help inspire feelings of confidence, courage, and positivity at home, at school, or on the playground. I think we all can use that right now.

Apply KidPower on your children’s wrists or back of the neck to inspire, motivate, and empower them for their best day every day. You can also diffuse it daily to promote feelings of courage and inspire positivity to help children find their power within.

Create your member account with Young Living to grab your own Little Oilers starter kit, the free Kidpower oil (through Sept 30) and free shipping!

That will get you set up to join my Natural Living Easy Route community and you will be sent educational info on all oils can do for you and your family.

If you are a current Young Living member, you can get your hands on the new Little Oilers starter kit – and free KidPower blend for anyone grabbing this kit in September – when you enroll someone! You can enroll your spouse, your sibling, parent, bff, etc.

Not only will you get the new Kids Kit, but you’ll also get a $50 thank you check too, just for referring them. In the future, you can continue to make residual income on any repeat orders as well. What would you do with an extra income working at home?

This starter kit of oils for kids makes it so easy to know how to use essential oils with kids. I wish it was available when I started.

I know it will be an essential toolkit for all of us in helping our children remain well all year long and supporting wellness and balance in our homes. It certainly was the gateway for reaching those things in my house with my family. I pray it will bless yours as much.

As far as our home and homeschool, 2021 has been a As far as our home and homeschool, 2021 has been a dream so far!

Kids are eager to learn and ask for more, we have a system down, and I am even getting rest time in the evening after the kitchen is cleaned up. My husband and I get time together while the kids are still awake which is important for them to see.

It has taken some realization of truth to create this peace and balance. Teaching my kids is a full time job. I am giving it that time this year and it is making all the difference. #shed #deadweightisgone #focusonthepresent #focusonfamily #thisismywork #homeschoolingmom #homeschoolingmama #homeschoolisafulltimejob #intentionalhomeschooling #intentionalmotherhood #intentionalmama #wifeandmother #homemakingmotivation #schoolathome #lifebalance
How long have you known your spouse? This guy an How long have you known your spouse?

This guy and I met our senior year of high school. What a journey we were in for and did not ever realize!

•4 kids + 1 miscarriage
•Navigating long distance relationship while dating, engaged and married
•Working to build faith as the center and focus of “us”
•Loving each other at our ugliest moments
•Building our home team for the long term

Every time the world feels heavy, chaotic, and strange, our marriage is a safe place. It makes our home calm amongst the storm of global politics.

I have grown content with our imperfections- because there are much bigger problems to navigate in the world...am I right?! 😳

That brings me so much peace.

Loving not only how well we work together but also the ways we still need to improve. That is where I am in my marriage. Grateful to have so much history with this guy. It fills my tank for all the years we have ahead of us to navigate as well.

It does not matter if you are a man or a woman, yo It does not matter if you are a man or a woman, you can not do it all well.

Hi, my name is Jaimi and sometimes I deliver truth that cuts to the heart. 👌😉

Women have been fed a lie that they can and need to juggle it all. I have learned to juggle. Eventually balls fall.

As I took on more because I was told all that mattered was my mindset, I inevitably had to set aside the tasks that God called me to do first. We never take on more and more and more and stay in balance without setting aside more than we should.

It is not a matter of mindset, it is a matter of priorities.

Have you heard of the “one thing every day”? Many make that a clean kitchen, workout completed or devotional time. My one this is my family. If I focus on them each day I feel successful.

In my home there is peace. The world is in chaos, power has become currency, and morals have fallen away. But “me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

It has nothing to do with gender. No one can take on something new without setting aside something they were working on already.

Peace and order in my home is worth it. I am setting aside the things that bring chaos into my life and home. I am only focusing on the things that serve God here.

What have you done to focus on success with completing your priorities this year? Have you made small changes to get there or large leaps?

Today we took the Christmas decorations down. It m Today we took the Christmas decorations down. It marked the real start of 2021 for us.

For some reason I am feeling ready for Spring cleaning. Funny enough, as I was cleaning out some flower pots that had gone a little stagnant over the colder weeks, I saw shoots! My plants think Spring is on its way-it has been warm here over the last few days.

Being greeted by this view as we were piling into the van this morning, felt energizing.

My steps heading in to 2021 are more careful, pragmatic. It feels good to feel on course, back to what matters most, and have zero guilt for what I will put on the back burner this year to stay focused on giving my family my best.

With family all long distance + the twins birthday 2 days after Christmas we end up with about 4 gift opening sessions over the course of Christmas week. I see no complaints from these kids. 😆

Our acts of kindness Christmas countdown has been Our acts of kindness Christmas countdown has been going well. Weaving the activities in as learning, art and service projects in our school days has been our way of fitting in the extras this month.

It is not that we ignore acts of kindness other times of the year. An act per day when some require driving or leg work to drop off gifts, cards or gather supplies adds some time.

I want to keep this going after Christmas too to keep us actively displaying love and being the hands and feet of Jesus. Probably more for me than the kids!

To do that I want to make a bigger list of actions we can take. We have 25 plus a couple resources from @shelivesfree and @coffeecupsandcrayons I will plug into a blog post.

One act we did was decorating and sending Christmas cards to the grandparents. It was our “keep the hands busy and the mouths quiet” during read aloud time. (My method...)

What are the random acts of kindness on your list? What are acts of kindness others have done for you that have been appreciated?
