Hey there!

My name is Jaimi, and I am a mom who loves to encourage moms in the season of raising children, making a home, and staying focused on the end goals of motherhood. I am the mom of four, including a set of twins. I am also a military wife, writer and “professional” playdate planner. We have to meet mom friends somehow, right?!

I studied early childhood education and teaching in college, so I was able to study a lot about child psychology, family dynamics and what research shows about those two factors in the life of children. I decided to channel that background and the feeling like I could really help moms who were just trying to survive at home caring for their families.

The stay at home mom survival guide is my little ministry. It is a resource for mothers, parents, caregivers and teachers.

No One is a Perfect Homemaker

No One is a Perfect Homemaker

{Post by Heather} There was a day before I had children where my house was “just” a house. It was a place for my furniture, my clothes and shoes. A place for me to crash after working all day. A place to eat food, watch tv or hang out with friends. I didn’t mind that the walls weren’t painted or...

The Treasures We Teach Our Children

{Post by Lisa} Why do we focus so much on our failures? Seriously, though. How have feelings of guilt and shame served us? They don’t. Instead they hold us down like a heavy weight and makes us feel defeated. Focusing on the treasures we teach our children can help. Every day we set an example....

5 Quick Dinners for Busy Moms

{Post by Heather} Tell me if this scenario sounds vaguely familiar: You get home with the kids and everyone is starving. I mean, bite-your-own-arm off starving conditions. You realize you have nothing defrosted, bought or ready to eat. Basically you can cook air for dinner. And you think to...

Pros & Cons to Having Children Close in Age

{Post by Lauren} My sister and I are 22 months apart in age. She was my built in best friend when we were growing up. My mother having children close in age was a benefit. Sure there were times, especially in high school, when we drove each other nuts. But overall it has been such a blessing to...
