Easy snacks to keep the kids from being hungry too early. I used to have trouble helping my son with his homework because the younger kids were whiney due to hunger. Now we have a solution!

Back to School preparations have begun in our house. We keep a fairly relaxed schedule during the Summer, so I know we will all need to adjust to the more structured schedule during the school year.

Last school year, one of the biggest challenges was finding a good time for my oldest to complete his homework. With his three younger siblings also needing my attention, it is a tough balance some days to give them all the one-on-one time they need. My oldest is a very capable student, but I still like to be involved in his learning at home to supplement the lessons he gets in the classroom.

I really wanted to find a solution to keep the kids from getting hungry for dinner so early. That way we avoid some tantrums and I get to spend some focused time helping my son with his homework.

Often, my son does his homework right away after school because it is the last window of time in the day before everyone gets cranky. (You know the hour before dinner that often gets called “the witching hour”?) If we wait too long, the twins get really hungry as we approach the time to make dinner, and the hungry monster shows up in tantrum form almost preventing me from helping my son when he needs me.

I thought up a solution to get a more protein-packed snack into my kids in the late afternoon right after school so that they are all a bit more content and we can get to dinner prep time without hungry tantrums showing up!

WalMart has a simple snack solution for after school that keep the tantrums away as we adjust to the back to school schedule.

I headed to my local WalMart with the kids in tow to pick up some Tyson® Any’tizers®. I serve them as an after school snack to help keep the hungry monster away!

Simple, quick snack solution for after school fuel during back to school season.

It was easy to find the Tyson® Any’tizers® snacks in the frozen foods aisle. As always, WalMart has budget-saving prices. The kids had fun riding along to pick up some new after school snacks and I was glad to find a solution to our homework time troubles.

Since the Tyson® Any’tizers® are all-white meat chicken, I know my kids will be getting a lean protein as after school fuel to keep them satisfied until dinner time. That is important to me to keep a balanced diet on their plates throughout the day.

My children get hungry so early that it can be tough to even prepare dinner with all of them complaining about being hungry. I figure, serving them, Tyson® Any’tizers® helps keep their hunger away plus the Tyson Project A+™ Program gives back to our local school.

Back to school snack solutions to give kids the after school fuel they need to stay focused and organized in the back to school routine. Tyson Project A+ helps you earn cash for your school!

On the back of participating packaging, I found a Tyson Project A+™ label. I clipped the label and keep them for our school. For every label submitted, Tyson will give my son’s school cash and the school can use the money for whatever it needs.

I chose to purchase Popcorn Chicken- Any’tizers® snacks and Homestyle Chicken Fries – Any’tizers® snacks because I knew my children would find them delicious. The preparation is so simple that I can just place them on a baking sheet, pop them in the oven-while looking through my son’s backpack to see what he needs for the next day at school. The snacks are ready for the kids’ quickly. They are perfect finger food for the toddlers too.

Simple after school snack solution for back to school.

All the kids are satisfied, our school gets to benefit from the Tyson Project A+™ program thanks to our purchases, and I get a calmer house during the hours before dinner time. It really has been a great addition to our afternoons to include protein-packed snacks for my kids.

Back to school time can be hectic, but trying this simple snack solution after school keeps tantrums away and helps earn cash for your school.
