A collection of 7 favorite slow cooker and crock pot recipes plus a freezer storage tip for meal planning.

Crock pot or Slow Cooker, whatever you call it, it is essential to an organized mom! (Ok, there are some who may be able to make a home-cooked meal from scratch every night because they are just THAT GOOD at this mom/wife thing, but I need the crock pot!) I put together 7 favorite crock pot recipes and an essential freezer storage tip that helps me meal plan more efficiently. It is so simple but so helpful and costs nothing to use.

Even before the twins were born, I started using the crockpot more regularly. I would double my recipes so I could have meals stored in the freezer for after their birth. That was essential..and still is! I love my weeks of grabbing leftover meals out of the freezer.

I found a few favorite recipes that I want to share with you. They all double easily, freeze really well (in fact they taste better after frozen) and they are versatile. You can use the leftovers in new ways so no one gets bored.

My simple freezer storage tip to help with meal planning will reduce the use of plastic zip-top bags. That saves us money and helps reduce our waste.

After looking around Pinterest, I created a board just for crock pot/slow cooker recipes. It is my go-to for helping keep my meal planning more streamlined. Dinner prep time is less stressful.

FREEZER STORAGE TIP

Since I try to double almost everything I cook, I need a simple way to freeze the leftovers but don’t like to use ziptop bags when I can avoid it. Here is the simple tip my mom taught me.
Freezer storage quick tip to reduce plastic waste and save money!!

1.Place leftovers into plastic reusable containers.

2.Use a small piece of scrap paper to write what the food is and date it.

3.Use packaging tape to stick the label right onto the lid of your reusable container.

It stays stuck even in the deep freeze (as long as the lid is flat). Then all that you have to throw away when you reheat is the label.
